With the cold weather well and truly here, us eczema sufferers know that this is when our skin suffers. I've made a post of what I've found over the years has worked for me and hopefully will work for you!
Let's begin...

Being the makeup lover that I am, finding a makeup remover that doesn't dry out my skin has always been a bug bear of mine, until I found Garnier Micellar Water.

This has been an absolute God send in taking my makeup off before washing! It's so gentle, even on my eyes (which are also eczema prone). Recommend for those struggling with wipes and other makeup removers that claim to be for 'sensitive skin'. On a side note - I recently tried the Garnier Micellar Water wipes and really don't get along with them, only recommend the actual water.

After I've taken my makeup off with the Micellar water, I then wash my face to remove any excess makeup. For this I use the No7 beautiful skin cleansing balm.

For my skin, I like to use a balm to cleanse my skin instead of a wash or any harsher scrubs. This balm, I find, puts moisture back into my skin after washing and doesn't make my skin feel tight or dehydrated. In my opinion, No7 skincare products are highly underrated and I love their range for sensitive skin.

Possibly the most important part of my skin care routine is moisturiser.
For my face, I tend to reach for the richer creams especially in the colder months. At the moment I haven't found a holy grail facial moisturiser but I do have a few I like. The one I'm using at the moment is Avéne Hydrance Optimale.

I am enjoying this at the moment but feel like it doesn't completely sink into my skin. However, do recommend for those with sensitive skin. If you have any suggestions of facial moisturisers please comment below!

On that note, I have 100% found my holy grail body moisturiser and recommend it to anyone with dry or eczema prone skin!! I've tried everything from drug store moisturisers to prescribed ointments and the only thing that works for me is Aveeno lotion.

This moisturiser was recommended to my by a dermatologist and haven't looked back (I actually use this on my face too!) It is made from oats so is completely natural and works wonders on dry skin. Highly recommend.

Showering has always posed a problem with regards drying out my skin. A lot of shower gels that claim to be 'sensitive skin' contain a lot of chemicals that subsequently dry out the skin. Because of this I use medicated shower gel called Oilatum.

Granted it's not the most luxurious shower gel, but it does what it says on the tin, which includes moisturising my skin. This can also be bought in local chemists and supermarkets, and works really well.

There are also a few basic bits in my skincare routine that I recommend. Vaseline is one of them, not only can it be used on lips, as I have eczema around my eyes, Vaseline is so sensitive that it moisturises even around the eyes. Sudocrem is also a huge help, especially for sore flare ups in awkward areas. It heals and protects without irritation.

Hope this helps, please let me know your tips and tricks for eczema in the Winter I would love to know!!

2016 is officially here and I for one cannot believe how much this year has flown by (even though I do say that every year).
Seeing as it is a new year, one of my resolutions is to be consistent with blogging! Having university can make blogging difficult, but excuses aside I'm going to try my hardest to keep this resolution!
So I thought I'd kick off this year with some of my 2015 favourites.
I've got a few makeup bits, accessories and my all round holy grail products!

So lets begin...

My first makeup favourite is a newby and I can already tell it is a holy grail in my everyday makeup routine. Makeup Geek eyeshadows are without a doubt one of my favourite brands of eyeshadows. They are so highly pigmented and this colour, Peach Smoothie, is the perfect transition colour for me! It also helps that Makeup Geek, for us Brits, are now being sold on beautybay.com
I highly recommend!!

As you can tell this is a much loved product. Considering I'm fair skinned, highlighters are hard to find that actually show up on my skin. If any of you have the same trouble finding good highlighters - look no further! Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm is the honestly the best highlighter I've tried to date, so if any of you know a similar highlighter please comment below as I have an obsession....

I am a little bit late on the bandwagon with these but since having my extensions (see previous posts) I was recommended this. Honestly, the Tangle Teezer is so soft at brushing my hair. If you have thick hair or extensions I can't recommend more. So many of my friends use this, with both thick and thin hair and absolutely swear by it - and now I do too!

This hands down is my favourite scent of all time, Lancome - La Vie Est Belle. I am normally attracted to the fruity fragrances but I smelt this on my friend and I've never looked back. I am awful at explaining scents but I will leave a description down below. Honestly, this is my third bottle, which is a pretty pricey habit to have but definitely worth it. If you have the chance, give it a niff!

For all you eczema sufferers, if you haven't tried Aveeno already, make sure you do. This is my absolute holy grail moisturiser for my eczema prone skin. I am thinking of doing a skin care routine for those with ezcema, what do you think? But honestly it is so natural which is perfect for sensitive skin!

Last, but certainly not least is probably my favourite item of 2015.  My wonderful boyfriend bought me my very first Michael Kors watch for my birthday in September and I haven't stopped wearing it since. I love that it is a mixture of different metals which means it is so versatile and will go with pretty much any outfit. I think the classic face makes it look so chic and it is by far my favourite piece of jewellery to date.

Hope you all had a wonderful 2015, and I hope to see you a lot more in the new year!

I had never tried Morphe as a brand before, but had heard so many good things about their eye shadows, so when I found out that they were stocked on BeautyBay.com this palette was straight in my basket.

So here are my opinions...

Lets start with my first impressions. I feel like this palette for me was love at first sight. I know that may seem dramatic but honestly, these colours are just so me.
There is a beautiful selection of colours, as the name suggests mostly warm tones, but for the Autumn months this palette is ideal. Just a word of advice, the online picture makes the palette look quite pink, but in reality its much more brown and neutral.

The Pros of this palette. Firstly, the pricing of this palette, £15.95, for 35 eyeshadows!!!! Its an absolute steal! For the price, I was a bit skeptical of how good the quality would be, but from the swatches, as you can see above, they are so pigmented and creamy that I was blown away. The eyeshadows glide so easily on the lid, and are so easy to blend.
Also, I think if you're new to makeup and don't want to spend a fortune, this palette is perfect as its got everything you need for both a daytime natural look or a dramatic evening smokey eye. Aswell if you're a freelance makeup artist and want a universal palette that will suit all skin tones.
Overall, I think this palette is beautiful. Not only for the colour selection, as I feel these colours are band on trend right now, but the price and quality of these shadows.

The Cons of this palette. Honestly, there isn't much I'd say is wrong with this palette. However, the only thing I could that was wrong with this palette is that I experienced alot of fallout when applying darker colours to the lid. I found that also in the pan when getting product onto the brush there was a lot of excess product left sitting on top of the pan. You can tell a little bit by the second photo above that there was quite a bit of excess product left on the palette.
But a part from that, I really cannot fault this palette.

My last word of it, I feel like if you've been looking for a good all-rounder palette, Morphe 35W is the one to turn to! I love this palette, and will absolutely be purchasing more.

Hope you're all well,
Sophie xxx

This is honestly my favourite time of the year! Crisp air, golden leaves, berry colours and wrapping up warm in the cold.

I love keeping my look neutral so I opted for ripped jeans, a plain white top and a statement coat.

Hope you're all having an amazing start to this new season!

have been wearing clip in extensions for a while now, so I decided to bite the bullet and get bonded extensions.
Being a indecisive person I was very wary about getting them, and was so nervous about going to the consultation.
I know for some this isn't a big decision but for me this was a big step!
So I went along to the consultation with an open mind and I was put so at ease as soon as I stepped in.

The lady who put them in, Steph, was so reassuring and gave me a lot of options for my hair type and how I wanted them to look.
Steph showed me a few different hair extension types, and in the end I opted for Hair Rehab London hair with EasyLocks bonds to keep them in place. I also opted for a non glue method in order to preserve my hair a little more.
I booked the appointment that day to have them put in the week later.

So I went along a week later to have them done.
This is how they looked when she was applying them.
The process flew by, I was expecting to be there for hours but it was so quick.
Steph told me I have around 130 strands of hair in, and took her 2 hours to apply.

Personally I was more worried about how they would look straight, because that's where you can sometimes see if they look fake.
Steph being a hairdresser was fab and cut my natural hair into the extensions and made them look so natural!

They also looked beautiful curled! I am so happy with they final result, but will keep you all updated in how I manage them and how they look in time.

If you are in Wales especially in the Bridgend area, I highly recommend Steph. Follow her on Facebook, her name is 'Steph Williams Hair Extensions'.

Last week in the UK the weather took a bit of a turn for the worst. So I thought it was perfect to start preparing for Autumn looks.

I opted for a classic look, with a black high-neck jumper with 'mom' style jeans. However I loved the way these heels (which I am obsessed with) give that little bit of an extra edge! I absolutely love this look for both an everyday look or drinks with the girls.
I am also loving gold jewellery at the moment, and Primark have a fab selection at the moment and wont break the bank! If you also fancied adding something a little bit extra to an outfit, this New Look pom-pom key-ring looks adorable with any outfit (both day and night!)

Ps. I have recently cut my hair, how are we all feeling on the messy long-bob?

So let's just cut to the chase, this lipgloss is BEAUTIFUL. But I mean from Chanel, what do you expect?

This lipgloss is from their new summer collection, and it is so pigmented that it looks like a high shine lipstick. The consistency is so creamy, although slightly sticky, but lasts all day with minimal touch up.

As to be expected, the packaging is so luxurious, making you feel proud to whip this out of your bag. At the price of £22, it is nice to own a classic Chanel colour lipgloss at a lower price than the bags! I can't say enough good things about this product.

Definatly a splurge for summer, but worth it!
